INTONACHINO
Lime based finish for Interior and Exterior
This is one of the most decorative finishes among the Italian lime based plasters. It allow you to achieve very desirable effects, as it mimics antique plaster. Two different granules: Extra Fine and Fine.
Composition: Finely filtered, white hydrated lime, grains of marble (special powdered marble granules sifted and selected according to granule size of X FINE (0.0 to 0.4 mm) and FINE (0.0 to 0.7 mm) special additives (no more than 2% of total volume).
Color: White, but any color is available upon request. (This product can be custom tinted to any Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams color, this is an additional cost based on color/pigment. Please call 708-452-8819 for tinting charges).
Type of Surface to be covered: The ideal substrate is plaster made of sand, lime and cement, but with the right preparation it can be applied to any surface of building construction.
Packaging: 24kg PASTE
Theoretical Yield: X FINE 1.2 TO 1.5 kg per 1 sq. m / 3. to 3,2 lbs. per 10 sq. feet, FINE: 1. 6 to 1.7 kg per 1 sq. / 3.5 to 3.7 lbs. per 10 sq. feet.
Drying time: 1-4 hours at 20°C (68°F) to the touch, 8-14 hours at 20°C
Coat Thickness: X Fine 1mm. 0.4 in, Fine: 1,4 mm 0.05 in.
Inflammability: Non-flammable
Shelf Life: 24 months
Storage Suggestion: Product maintains its characteristics best kept dry.
Safety Norms: Lime products are caustic. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water. Keep out of reach of children.
Disposal: Product must be disposed of according to the norms and regulations in force.
Application:
New Plaster: Apply directly with a metallic trowel.
Old Plaster: Clean away dust and apply quartz primer.
Tint with oxide pigments resistant to lime and UV-rays if applied outside. Apply the first layer of Intonachino using a steel trowel and spreading it uniformly on the wall. After completely drying, you can apply the second layer. Be careful to make the surfaces even with a rubber trowel (sponge float) by using a circular movement a few minutes after application, but before the Intonachino is beginning harden.
Use masonry sealer breathable resistance to wetting or Marseille soap.
